About the founder

Gautam Katoch has spent his career working across investment, geopolitics and macroeconomics, and founded Sansar Insights in 2018.
He began his career in consulting before moving into venture capital, and has since worked closely with a leading UK single family office. His work initially focused on direct investment and deal-making before shifting towards the strategic issues that sit upstream of individual investment decisions.
Sansar Insights has since grown into an independent practice working with a select group of family offices, helping them understand how geopolitics, economic policy and structural change in the global economy shape the environment in which capital is deployed.
Gautam approaches geopolitics as an investor: what matters for capital, what doesn't, and when political change becomes material to an investment decision. His work is informed by direct dialogue with policymakers, economists and business leaders.
